Channel Advisor to Support eBay's New Part Compatibility
MORE GREAT NEWS!
In March 2010, eBay motors will unveil their new "part compatibility" platform. This new method to properly categorize parts by appropriate year/make/model/trim package, etc. will provide sellers and buyers alike a better eBay experience. Sellers will now have the opportunity to provide additional pertinent information to the buyer while potentially assuring a better search standing. Buyers will have additional resources to make an educated purchase; just what they are looking for!
Additionally, we are most excited to announce that Channel Advisor is completely on board with these changes and will be supporting this "part compatibility" platform.
The first link below explains how eBay motors will unroll this program. The second link is information regarding Channel Advisor's support.

eBay's New Fee Structure
How exciting! eBay has announced a new insertion fee structure for its sellers. For full details, go to:
http://pages.ebay.com/sellerinformation/news/feeillustrator2010.html
From what we can see, the new insertion fees are based on the seller's eBay store subscription level. There is a handy calculator that will assist in determining which subscription is best for each seller based on their volume of sales and items listed.
Finally, we are seeing a break on all of those exorbitant e-commerce fees.
Good news!

Industry Support for Auto Recyclers
Yesterday was the exciting kick off to our two part webinar series hosted by PARTS, the Pennsylvania Automotive Recycling Association's affiliate. During the first part we discussed various e-commerce selling venues and their past performance. By analyzing eBay and Amazon in particular, we hoped to make auto recyclers aware that multiple venues exist and are strong.
Later in the webinar, we discussed factors to consider when gearing up a new e-commerce department. From software tools to inventory to internal support systems, smart choices can determine success.
The second part to the series will cover daily management of an e-business and overcoming hurtles and plateaus. We look forward to welcoming back participants from all over the US. To learn more about this series, please go to www.parts.org or visit us at www.powerautomarketing.com .

What are YOUR customers saying?
Every business owner, sales person, inventory specialist, administrative staff member or any employee in general, at some point, looses sight of the fact that our customers make our business possible. During the day to day tasks associated with our jobs, we become consumed with the current issues. Have you ever been short with a customer? Did you ever forget to listen? We've ALL done it! The next time you are the customer and for any reason become frustrated, think about your customers.
"When it comes to customer service, remember, you have two ears and one mouth for a reason!"
